Sister M Patientia AC (90)-Elder Sister of Late Benedicta Miranda (Benna Ruzai) Passed Away Today (24 August) at Carmel Convent, Kalamboli-Navi Mumbai. It should be noted that her brother Benna Ruzal ( a well-known Konkani Writer, Playwright, Actor and Theatre organizer) also passed away during wee hours of (Today) 24 August here in Mangaluru- and his funeral was held at Jeppu Cemetery at 5 pm on 24 August. Mangaluru: You may be experiencing grief/shock over the death of your sibling if you feel –shock, sadness, despair, loneliness, isolation, depression, crying, worry, frustration, – to name a few. Okay, so those things aren’t specific to sibling grief, however, they might be experienced differently by someone grieving a brother , who was very close and dear. You feel anxiety because you know how fragile life is, you’re worried you may die in the same way as your sibling; You feel lonely because…although you’re surrounded by people, you miss the one person who you could truly be yourself with.
I could go on, but the important thing is to understand that your feelings are unique and important. Good, bad, or anywhere in-between, your relationship with your brother or sister is different than anyone else’s and so you’ll experience hurdles, triggers, and hardships that others may not. It’s also important for people supporting bereaved siblings to keep this in mind so they can help validate and support the griever’s feelings and experiences. Okay, I just wanted to say that as a reminder to anyone who feels like they’re living in the shadow of a deceased sibling.
And that might have been in the case of Sister M Patientia AC, aged 90, who slipped into eternity this afternoon (24 August) at 1.15 pm at Carmel Convent, Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai, where she suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed on the sofa after having had a telephonic conversation with her sister in Mangaluru- and this morning she had received the sad news about her brother (Benna Ruzai) who passed away in Mangaluru at around 3.30 am on Monday, 24 August. Sr Patientia A.C. (90) nee Rufina Miranda is the daughter of late Albert and Seraphine Miranda, belonging to Apostolic Carmel Congregation, and sister of late Victor, Presilla and late Benedict (Benna Ruzai) Miranda passed away at Carmel Convent, Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai on August 24th.
Funeral rites will be on Tuesday , August 25th at 11.30 a.m. at Carmel Convent, Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai.
