Six including 3 Girls arrested in Honey Trap case
Mangaluru: The CCB police have arrested six persons including three girls in connection with the Honeytrap case on March 22.

The arrested have been identified as Ravi Gowda (42) from Moodigere, Chikkamagaluru, Ramesh (35) from Kodakkal, Padil and Prethesh (36) from Mission Compound Jail Road.
According to the police on March 20, the accused had called an elderly person in the city for massage. While he entered the house three unidentified men barged into the house and forced the victim to undress, the accused then made a video of him with the company of girls and also clicked his photographs. Later the accused threatened the victim of posting the video and photographs on the social media if he did not pay them Rs 3 lakh. The victim out of fear transferred Rs 3 lakh to the account of one of the accused.
Later the victim approached the Kavoor police station and filed a complaint. The CCB police led by Inspector Shantharam Kundar and team arrested six of the accused including three girls and seized Rs 1.5 lakh and mobile phones from their possession.
Accused Ravi is involved in robbery and property cheating and cases have been registered against him in the Kavoor police station.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner T R Suresh, and the able guidance of DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic the operation was carried out by the CCB Inspector Shantharam Kundar, PSI Shyamsundar, ASI Shashidhar Shetty, Harish, Rama Poojary, Ganesh, Chandrashekhar, Sheenappa, Chandra, Subramanya. Chandrahasa, Yogish, Rajendra Prasad, Abdul Jabbar, Mani, Prashanth Shetty, Ashith D’Souza, Tejakumar and Ritesh.
The Kavoor police are investigating the case.
