Solar Trade Links Installs Solar Rooftop Power Plant at M’luru Co-op Bank

Solar Trade Links-Mangaluru, the pioneers and leading Solar Rooftop Integrators of Coastal Karnataka Installs 15 Kw Solar Rooftop Power Plant at The Mangalore Co-operative Town Bank Ltd-Car Street-Mangaluru on 16 August 2017

Mangaluru: During a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Nakul Pai-the President of The Mangalore Co-operative Town Bank Ltd-Car Street, Mangaluru said, ” Our Bank is one of oldest Co-operative bank in Mangaluru established in the year 1918 the bank now has five branches with deposits of Rs 72 crores and lending of Rs 53 Crores. Our Bank has been making a profit for the last 98 years and has been declaring dividends consistently for the last 98 years. The profit for the year financial year 16-17 is Rs 38 lakhs. Our bank has been lending towards small businessman, MSME sector, with facilities like ECS, NEFT RTGS etc and has always believed in innovative schemes benefiting the customer. Our bank now lends at 9.75 % for a housing loan, 10.50 % for vehicle loan as well as giving 7.25 % interest for deposits and additional 0.50% for senior citizen deposits”.

N. Umesh Bhat – the Vice President of the Bank also speaking said, “Our Bank has now taken the initiative of going Green as well as promoting renewable energy sources by installing 15 kw Solar Rooftop Power Plant, installed by Solar Trade Links-Mangaluru. Our bank is the 1st bank in the Co –operative sector in Mangaluru Taluk to install such a Solar Rooftop Power Plant. This plant was commissioned on 5 July 2017 and formally inaugurated on August 16, 2017 by former MLA and deputy speaker of Karnataka legislature Assembly N.Yogish Bhat. The plant has been installed at the total cost of Rs12 lakh and it delivers 1800 units per month and 21,600 units per year, thereby saving nearly of Rs.1,55,000 per year. The payback period of this plant is nearly 5 years and for next 20 years the bank gets net savings of Rs 1.55 lakh per year.”

Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, the Managing Director of Solar Trade Links, Mangaluru said, ” The Solar plant also saves 4,32,000 Kgs of carbon dioxide for 25 years and contributes to a green environment and clean energy. The solar plant was installed and commissioned by M/s. Solar Trade links a unit of Kumble Group who are the pioneers and leading Solar Rooftop integrators of Coastal Karnataka. M/s. Solar Trade Links has installed more than 40 Solar Rooftop Power Plant with combined Capacity of 400 kw under the leadership of my son, Kumble Vignesh Prabhu, who is the CEO of this firm.

We have recently installed Solar Plants – 25 Kw at DC office, Mangaluru; 15 Kw Vidyadayeeni School Surathkal; and very soon will be installing 50 Kw at Mangala Cashews-Mangaluru. These are some of the prestigious installations installed by M/s Solar Trade Links.”
