Some Religious Rituals will Begin in Temples from September 1 – Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary
Udupi: Karnataka Endowment Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary on Saturday, August — said that the Muzrai Department would allow holding some religious rituals in temples in the state from September 1.
Speaking to media persons in Udupi on Monday, August 31 Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said that if the health department recommends that religious rituals can be resume they will be allowed.
However, “Anna Santarpane” (mass feeding) and crowding in temples will not be allowed to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. The Government will issue detailed guidelines in two or three days, he added.
Replying about the Drug abuse in the state, Kota said that the state government is committed to curb the drug abuse without any hesitation. Home minister Basavraj Bommai had taken strict action against it and instructed all the district administrations. There are complaints that drugs are widely used in the film industry. The Government without any discrimination will take action on people using drugs. The drug abuse problem is deep-rooted, it is not just the actors, even people from other fields are involved in drugs. We are trying to get to the root of the problem, he said.
