Speaking to Mangalorean.com SP Annamalai said that Cycling is the best solution to keep fit and it is the best form of exercise. Compared to countries in the West, we are actually behind in picking up cycling – it serves as a form of exercise and transport. I cycle 20 km every day and every Sunday with my cycling friends 100 to 125 km.

With just two to four hours of cycling per week, a person will be able to see an overall improvement in his health. Cycling is an easy, low impact sport that gives one a good muscle workout. It helps increase both strength and stamina, improving health and immunity in general. Cycling is also a flexible sport — he or she may be intense in his pedalling or go easy. It is also an extremely time-efficient sport — taking one to his destination while giving a workout at the same time. Cycling is also a great way to deal with stress of everyday living. It gives one a fruitful way of managing anxiety by channelling his energy in a positive manner. In the coming days we have decided to create more awareness on cycling in the district, he added.
