SP Annamalai Transferred to DCP South Bengaluru City
Chikkamagalur: Able officer and Singam fame SP K Annamalai has been transferred from Chikkamagaluru district on Tuesday, October 16.
The state government has posted SP K Annamalai as DCP of South Bengaluru City. Annamalai is an upright officer who has won the hearts of the people as SP of Udupi as well as Chikkamagaluru District.
Soon after BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa assumed charge as the Chief Minister, he had ordered for the transfer of K Annamalai to Ramangara district as SP. After chief minister H D Kumaraswamy took charge as CM he withdrew the transfer.
Annamalai having done a tremendous job as SP of Udupi was transferred to Chikkamagaluru as SP on 4 of August 2016.
SP Annamalai managed to put an end to prostitution, drug mafia, betting and human trafficking in his area of jurisdiction. It was during his tenure that the Dattamala programme was held peacefully for the first time which was hailed by the people of the district.
