SP Sanjeev Patil Transferred, Laxman Nimbargi New SP Of Udupi
Udupi: Dr Sanjeev M Patil, Superintendent of Police of Udupi district, has been transferred as DCP administration Bengaluru with immediate effect.
Laxman Nimbargi who Additional Superintendent of Police of Chitradurga has been posted as new Superintendent of Police of Udupi district.
Nimbargi hails from Indi in Vijayapura district, but currently settled in Chitradurga, where he pursued Engineering studies and appeared for UPSC examinations in 2014.
After taking charge as Udupi SP Dr Sanjeev Patil has brought many changes in policing and curbed all illegal activities. He started the Phone in programme to know the grievances of the people directly which was hailed by the public. He took strict action against Matka bidders and also sent a proposal to the district administration to book them under the Goonda Act.
In a short period of service he won the confidence and hearts of the people and also earned the name as the Best Police officer. He not only has good crime detection skills but has put a check on criminal activities like matka, murder and theft in the district. After he took charge as SP, he has brought about a lot of change in controlling traffic in Udupi city. He has restricted illegal activities in and around the district.
When Mangalorean.com contacted Patil, he said, “I am satisfied with my work here in Udupi district.” I had a great time in Udupi, I had asked transfer for personal reasons. The interaction with the people through Phone-in programme has helped us to know our mistakes and problems in the district. I had a very good police team in Udupi which helped me to work successfully in the district. My successor will continue my work in the same, illegal activities like Matka etc should stopped. He thanked everyone in the district for their co-operation.
