Special Session with Padma Bhushan Dr. Sivathanu Pillai

Qatar: On September 15th, 2024, the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), under the auspices of the Embassy of India, hosted a session titled “Space and the Future of Humanity”. The session featured renowned Indian scientist Padma Bhushan Dr. Sivathanu Pillai, Founder CEO & MD of Brahmos Aerospace.

The event was held at the ICC premises and attended by many members of the Indian diaspora, primarily students. Dr. Pillai delivered an address on the subject, sharing his experiences of working with the late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. His motivational speech was well-received by all.

Dr. Pillai was felicitated by ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan. The event was also attended by ICC Vice President Mr. Subramanya Hebbagelu, General Secretary Mohan Kumar, and other members of the ICC Managing Committee, Advisory Council, and community leaders from the Indian diaspora.

The session aimed to inspire and educate the audience about the significance of space exploration and its impact on humanity’s future.
