Spectrum Industries in City Wins FKCCI Business Excellence State Award
Mangaluru: Jeevan Saldanha, Chief Executive, Spectrum Industries received the FKCCI (Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce & Industry) Business Excellence State Winner Award 2018, from Prof Rajeev Gowda, MP, Rajya Sabha, Bangalore, during the award function held at the Sir M. Visveswaraya Auditorium, Bangalore on Tuesday the 19th of June.
Spectrum Industries has been the pioneer manufacturers of Electronic Colour Sorters in India since 1993 and have over 1,500 Colour Sorters installed over 24 years for over 45 applications such as Pulses, Lentils, Rice, wheat, Cashew Nuts, Coffee, Tea, Sunflower seeds, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds etc. and these machines have been exported to over 25 countries
In 1997, Spectrum Industries diversified into the manufacture of the entire range of Grain Cleaning and Milling machines and today undertakes installation of Complete Coffee and Grain Processing Plants. The machinery range comprises of equipment for Pre-Cleaning, De-stoning, Hulling, Polishing, Classification, Standardizing and Colour Sorting, for capacities ranging from 1 MTH to 10 MTH.
In the year 2000, Spectrum Industries released the state of the art Line Scan CCD Camera based Colour Sorting system and developed a Bulk Sorter for food grains using this technology.
Spectrum industries currently is the only Indian manufacturer to produce its own Monochromatic & Trichromatic RGB, Full Colour Line San CCD Cameras for its range of machinery, and which are probably the most sophisticated in the world, with all the components made in-house.
Spectrum Industries is an ISO 9001:2008 company and has been certified for the Design, Manufacture and supply of Electronic Colour Sorting Machines by the British Standards Institute since the year 2002. It has an exclusive Research & Development Unit, where design and development is undertaken in house.
Spectrum Industries has received the Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Business Award in the year 2006. Spectrum Industries has received the Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Manufacturing Excellence State Award 2017, for the Machinery Manufacturing Sector in the SME Category.
