Speeding Car Climbs Median & Crashes into a Electric Pole- Luckily No Injuries

Mangaluru : A driver of Maruti Swift Model Red Colour car bearing the licence plate No KA 19 MA 9676, speeding from Bunts Hostel side towards Jyothi side on Bunts Hostel Road around 10.15 pm , lost control of the car, and the car climbed the median and came to a halt after crashing into a electric pole fixed on the media. There were three people in the car, including the driver, but luckily no was injured, nor any other pedestrians or motorists during the time of accident.

Before the Kadri Police could arrive at the scene, the driver of the car had made arrangements for a crane to lift the car from the spot- and in the meantime the Mescom crew was also called in to make sure the pole that the damaged electric pole at the bottom part, was strong enough to stay in tact- and after the Mescom crew shut the power in that area, the car was lifted by the crane, and later towed away to a garage for repairs. Police at the scene took the word from the driver that he fell asleep, and he lost control at the wheel.

In conclusion, in my perspective, when a speeding car during late night involves in such kind of accident, was it not the duty of the traffic cops to see whether the driver was drunk by using the breathalyzer test-which they didn’t do it- instead cooly allowed this accident case close with no proper investigation. Also the Mescom crew didn’t do a in-depth check into the damage of the electric pole at the bottom part, whether it would stay strong without collapsing in the future days. Strange but true-Guess that’s how the system works here, I suppose?
