Sri Siddivinayaka Pratistana To Hold Ganeshotsava From August 25
Mangaluru: Sri Siddivinayaka Pratistana®, held a press meet at Omkar Nagar, Bunts Hostel here on August 22.
Addressing the mediapersons Trustee of Sri Siddivinayaka Pratistana Dr Asha Jyothi Rai said, “From past 13 years we are celebrating Ganeshotsava. To mark the 14th Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsav, we will be organizing various programmes. This year the celebrations will begin on August 25 and end on August 27.
On August 24, at 5:00 pm, the Idol of Sri Siddi Vinayaka will be brought in a procession from Radhakrishna Mandir near Sri Sharavu Mahaganapati Temple to Omkar Nagar. On August 25, at 9:15 am, the three-day Ganeshotsav programme will begin by hoisting the flag. Later various programmes will be held. On August 26 cultural programmes will be held by the students of Ramakrishna Educational Institutions.
On August 27 at 11:00 am Astothara Sahasra Narikela Mahaganayaga will be held followed by Annasantharpane at 12:30 pm. At 3:30 pm, there will be the immersion Puja followed by the inauguration of the programme of Bhajans. The procession will begin from Omkar Nagar and pass via – Bunts Hostel Circle – PVS – Dongarakeri – New Chitra Talkies – Carstreet – Sri Venkataramana Temple and the idol will be immersed into the Shree Mahammayi Temple pond.
Krishna Prasad Rai Bellippadi, K Balakrishna Shetty Belli Bettuguthu, M Sundar Shetty, Vasanth Shetty, Ravindranath S Shetty and others were also present.
