Sri Vishwa Vijaya Files Case against the Appointment of Successor to Puttige Math
Udupi: The former Junior Peetadhipati of Pejavar Math Sri Vishwa Vijaya filed a lawsuit in the Udupi District Court against the appointment of the successor to Puttige Math on May 8.
In his law suit Sri Vishwa Vijaya has stated that recently the Puttige Math, one of the Ashta Math in Udupi, received an engineer as the successor to pontiff Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji. Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji has visited foreign countries and has lost the rights to offer puja by touching the idol of Lord Sri Krishna. His visit to foreign countries is objectionable, he does not have the right to give Sanyasa Deeksha to his successor.
He has also stated in the lawsuit that the new successor Prashath Achayra is not fit for the Sanyasa Deeksha. He has not studied the Veda, Vedantha, Tarka, Vyakarana and Sanskrith and he don’t have any Basic Qualification to become the successor of Puttige Math.
