Srinivasan Narayanan to re-launch his distribution company

Mumbai, Sep 27 (IANS) Film industry veteran Srinivasan Narayanan announced on Tuesday the re-launch of his international distribution company In2Infotainment India.

The company has acquired the distribution rights of the British drama “I, Daniel Blake” by Ken Loach. It tells the story of a 59-year-old carpenter befriending a single mother and her two children as they navigate their way through the impersonal and Kafkaesque benefits system.

With this, In2Infotainment India has made a comeback to the distribution business following earlier titles such as “L’Enfant”, and “The Barbarian Invasions”.

“When I prepared a business plan in 2001 for distribution of art-house movies in India, I was a pioneer and had to go through the learning experience. When I took over as the Director of the Mumbai Film Festival, I strengthened my association with award-winning and critically-acclaimed films.

“With that commitment having concluded, I took some time off to revive my company and create a sustainable model for the distribution of international films in India,” Narayanan, Chief Executive, In2Infotainment India, said in a statement.

While In2infotainment’s forte remains acquiring award-winning films for distribution in India, it is also set to forge new partnerships with investors across the world to market Indian films, documentaries and TV content. In the past, the company has also exported Indian films to Iran, Singapore, Australia and Canada.
