SSLC Student from Kaup Tested Positive for Coronavirus
Udupi: A SSLC student of Kaup Taluk in Udupi district has tested positive for the Coronavirus on June 28.
According to the health officials, the student has appeared for the Kannada exam on June 25 and for the maths exam on June 27. On June 27, the student’s father was tested positive for COVID -19. The girl’s throat swab was sent to the lab for test and is confirmed to be positive for the coronavirus.
The board has arranged separate seating at all the examination centres for students who have tested positive, have cold, cough and other symptoms and also for the students residing in the containment zones.
The exams were earlier scheduled from March 27 to April 9 but were put off as the lockdown was extended thrice up to May 31.
