St Aloysius B. Ed College Welcomes New Batch of Students
Mangaluru: St Aloysius B. Ed College, a leading institute of teacher education of the city organized welcomed for the thirteenth batch of students today. The programme began with a prayer song led by Sr Joyline and group.
Rev. Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Director, in his welcome address introduced to the new students with the qualities of Jesuit Education, namely, Competence, Commitment, Compassion and Conscience and also its characteristics. St Aloysius B. Ed College provides varied opportunities to inculcate these qualities in order to be attained as competent teachers required by educational institutions. A Positive mindset, determination to accomplish tasks despite the disheartening circumstances, patience and a focus on ones goals is also important to achieve success in a student’s life-he added.
Dr Mrs Farita Viegas, Principal, introduced the regulations of the institute and highlighted what is to be of a student teacher trainee. This was followed by the introduction of faculty members.
Mrs Delna Lobo, Vice-Principal, delivered the welcome address and Mrs Sandhya rendered the vote of thanks. Mrs Sarika Rodrigues compered the programme. The programme ended with the College anthem.
