St Aloysius College Conducts Online Certificate Course-‘E-Konkani Bhaas & Culture’
Mangaluru: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru and UGC STRIDE (Scheme for Transdisciplinary Research for India’s Developing Economy) organise Online Certificate Course “E-Konkani Bhaas & Culture” from 13th November 2020 to 14th May 2021 for the duration of 50 hours. The online classes will be conducted every day from 6 pm to 8 pm. This course will be conducted using THREE scripts i.e., Kanadi, Nagari and Romi.
This Certificate Course is exclusively designed for ONLINE classes. Eminent resource persons from Goa, Mangaluru, Bengaluru and UAE will be facilitating the classes on WEB. The Course Content has been designed for beginners as well as passionate promoters of Konkani Language and Culture.
Konkani is a Language mainly spoken in Coastal States viz., Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharastra. FIVE scripts have been accepted in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. But, in the Course Content, we have preferred only 3 scripts i.e. Romi, Nagari & Kanadi. Teaching will be in 3 scripts and the option is given to the students to choose any one of the scripts for answering the online test at the end of the course.
