St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrates Republic Day
Mangaluru: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrated the 70th Republic day to commemorate the date when the constitution of India came into effect. The chief guest Mrs. Joyce D”Silva the former teacher of the school hoisted the national flag along with the other dignitaries. The National Anthem was sung with due reverence. In her message she said being an Indian citizen, we are fully responsible about our country. We should not let go easily the priceless sacrifices of our freedom fighters and make this country a slave country again under corruption, illiteracy, inequality and other social discrimination.
The cultural programme that included patriotic songs, dances were feast to one’s eyes. Master Numan, Master Dion and Master Reesh compered the programme. The significance of the day was expressed by Master Rishon Nazareth. The Headmistress Mrs. Philomena Lewis, The vice president of the P.T.A Mrs Rekha Fernandes were present. A large number of parents witnessed the programme.
