St Aloysius Gonzaga School Celebrates ‘64th Kannada Rajyotsava’
Mangaluru : The 64th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great vigour and grandeur in St Aloysius Gonzaga school on November 1, 2019. Ms Reshma G Ullal, a renowned social activist was the Chief Guest for the programme. After inaugurating the celebration by lighting the lamp she gave a meaningful message saying, “Children play a vital role in nurturing a language and culture. Give equal importance to all the languages and it helps you to maintain harmony in the society. Feel proud when you speak in any language.”
Supporting her statements, the Principal expressed his views about Kannada language “Kannada is a rich language, develop love for Kannada language as it helps to uphold the culture and heritage of our State.” The programme began by invoking God’s blessing through a melodious prayer song. Sweedal of class X welcomed the gathering. Paying tribute to the Kannada Nadu, Master Aditya Rao of class VII spoke on the significance of Rajyothsava. In appreciation to our Kannada Nadu, the students depicted the culture of our land through various dances and folk song.
Various competitions were conducted on account of Kannada Rajyotsava and the winners were honoured with certificates. Master Bhargav G Kamat of class VIII proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was anchored by Niharika M and Deeksha. The programme concluded by singing Nadageete followed by distribution of sweets.
