St. Aloysius Institute of Education Welcomes New Batch of Students
Mangaluru: St. Aloysius B.Ed College, a leading institute of teacher education of the city organized a welcome programme for the 14th batch of students today. The programme began with a prayer song led by Sr. Preethin Saldhana UFS and group.
The chief guest of the programme, Rev. Fr. Cyril D’Mello SJ, Director of St. Aloysius I.T.I., and Gents’ Hostel, in his address spoke about the qualities of being an Aloysian under the aegis of Jesuit management. He said, “We believe in Freedom with Responsibility” and that as teachers to be passionate agents of social change imbibed with the spirit of Magis that is to be better, always moving towards excellence for the Greater Glory of God. He concluded his speech by telling the students to graduate from the Institution as intellectually bright, morally upright and spiritually sound teachers.
Dr. Mrs. Farita Veigas, Principal, addressed the students with words of motivation and encouraged the students to be committed teachers. Mrs. Joshna B, Lecturer, introduced the regulations of the Institute and highlighted what is to be expected of a student teacher. Ms

Mrs. Delna Lobo, Vice Principal, delivered the Welcome address. Mr. Santhosh Furtado, Lecturer, rendered the Vote of Thanks. Mrs. Sandhya, Lecturer compered the programme. The programme ended with the College Anthem.
