St Aloysius PUC Students/Alumni ‘CAUSE 2018’ to Raise Funds for a Good ‘Cause’!
Mangaluru: Suhan Alva – Founder and Coordinator of Citizen Alliance to Uphold Service and Exchange (CAUSE) addressing the media persons during a press meet held at MangalorePress Club said, “The student coordinators of St Aloysius P.U College and College Alumni have come forward to help the needy by organizing a charity event ‘CAUSE 2018′ for the needy, namely Paschim Re-Hab and De Mercede to spread smiles to the ones who deserve much more than they get. On Saturday 21 July we will have promotional event at City centre mall throughout the Mall hours, where the students will raise funds by selling homemade soaps, saplings, wall hangings, handmade bookmarks, chocolates etc. The collection made during this event will be donated to the needy’
“The main event of “CAUSE 2108” will be held at Forum Fiza Mall on Sunday 22 July 2018 at 4 pm, where the chief guest will be actor Diganth Manchale and Actress, Ms Pooja Devariya, of the upcoming Kannada movie “Katheyondu Shuruvagide”. Guests of honor will be Mithun Rai-President, Youth Congress DK; Akshith Suvarna-President, Youth JD{S}, DK; and Capt. Brijesh Chowta-General secretary, BJP, DK; and presided over by Fr Melwyn Mendonca Sj-Principal of St Aloysius PUC, Mangaluru. There will lots of entertainment, music and skits planned during this event” added Alva. Mohammed Shawaz-Co-Founder of CAUSE; Ishwar Shetty- Co-ordinator; Pradhyumna Rajaram Rai- President of SAPUC Student Council and Coordinator of Cause 2018; and Miss Mehek Pinto- Secretary of SAPUC student Council and Coordinator of Cause 2018 were also present during the press meet.
Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Founder of CAUSE, Suhan Alva said, “Sometimes a small initiative can make big changes in the society. I request the public to support this project for a good cause, because your contribution will go towards helping children and the aged live better lives. Together we can be the change in the society and make a difference in the community. The student coordinators are looking for your support and encouragement to make this event a grand success. As a well-known organization, we have undertaken numerous initiatives that have turned out to be a raging success among people from all walks of life”
“CAUSE is an incubator for the formation of a social conscience. In the last four years since its inception, it has inspired young students to look beyond themselves and in doing so, has touched countless lives in and around Mangaluru. And to those students in financial difficulties, CAUSE wants to fuel them who burn the midnight oil, as an acknowledgement of their hard work by means of scholarships. We have reached out to the less fortunate in little ways, bringing them smiles and joy and the assurance that all lives matters. For all our projects your support and encouragement is very much needed” added Suhan Alva.
