St Joseph Vaz Church, Mudipu organizes ‘Yuva Milan – 2019’
Mudipu/Mangaluru: Henry Ford rightly said “Coming together is beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success”. Keeping this in mind the Parish Pastoral Parishad of St Joseph Vaz Church organized a half-day orientation programme for the youth of the parish on February 10, 2019. The programme began with a prayer song, Mr Rolvin welcomed the gathering.
Inauguration was done in a creative way i.e by pouring fishes from a jar to the aquarium pot to signify that as fish is free in the water, youth need to exercise their freedom with responsibility, adapting to the changes that take place in the society and living in harmony with others. Fr Rupesh Madtha, Y.C.S/ Y.S.M director of Mangaluru diocese was the resource person. He addressed the youth regarding how to make the best use of “youthful days” and their role in building the parish.
Fr Benjamin Pinto, the Parish Priest of St Joseph Vaz Church, motivated the youth in his inaugural address. After an inspiring interactive session, youth mass was celebrated. Ms Lila D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks. Fr Shaun Rodrigues, Roshan D’Souza, Marcel D’Souza, Santhosh D’Souza and Mrs Smitha were present. The programme ended with a sumptuous lunch.
