St Joseph’s Institute of Management-Bluru observed 21st Foundation Day
Bengaluru: St. Joseph’s Institute of Management observed Foundation Day on 23rd of November 2017. On this day the institute recognizes deserving students striving for excellence with scholarship amounts. The Management believes that these students can utilize the scholarship amounts to gain additional knowledge and certifications to help strengthen their profiles.
63 students both from the first and second year PGDM course were given scholarship. Amongst the recognitions was also a special award that was issued by the management for recognizing efforts of students beyond the regular call of duty. Vineeth Shiyal was recognized for helping initiate 4 Toastmasters clubs at SJIM in the year 2017.
The chief guest of the day was B Muthuraman, Former Chairman, Tata International Ltd, Former Vice Chairman, Tata Steel Limited. The chief guest in his message stressed upon the importance of sports, music along with academics. He advised the students to seek development in their passion towards their goals. Other distinguished guests of the day were Rev. Father Anthony Joseph Sj, Rector, St. Joseph’s Institutions; Fr Jason Furtado Sj, Secretary and Treasurer of Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society.
