St. Sebastian Church Bendur celebrates Teachers Day – 2019
Mangaluru: St. Sebastian Church Bendur celebrated Teachers Day – 2019 recently at the St. Sebastian Church Hall, Bendur.
Fr Vincent Monteiro – Parish Priest, Fr Rohan Dias and Fr Nelson Peris – Assistant Parish Priest, Stephen Pinto – Vice President, Mavis Rodrigues – Secretary, Bendur Parish Pastoral Council and Vinod D’Souza – Convenor, Youth and Cultural Committee were the guests present on the occasion.
The programme began with the prayer song followed by the welcome dance by YCS members. Nelson Monteiro welcomed the guests and the gathering. The chief guest of the programme Mariette Janet Mascarenhas – Principal, Govt. P U College, Balmatta Mangaluru shared her experience as a teacher and asked all the teachers to be dedicated, understanding and a role model to their students. She congratulated the parish committee for organizing the programme to recognize and felicitate the teachers. All the teachers were felicitated with mementos for their relentless service to the society.
YCS members entertained the gathering with a variety of songs and dance performances. Blossom Rego delivered the vote of thanks. Mavis Rodrigues compered the programme.
