State Govt Announces Home Quarantine for Pregnant Women, Senior Citizens and Children
Bengaluru: The Additional Chief Secretary, to the Government Health and Family Welfare Department and Medical Education Department has issued guidelines to quarantine international and domestic passengers.
The SOPs for international returnees has been issued by the Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare Services on May 6.
Subsequently, vide Corrigendum dated May 8, certain changes were made in the SOF, As per the Corrigendum all international passengers who are in Category-2 (asymptomatic) shall be subjected to 14 days of Institutional Quarantine in COVID Care Centres.
Further, to the above SOP following relaxation is being made for Category-2 asymptomatic passengers immediately on their arrival, the below-mentioned category of international passengers shall be tested using RT-PCR technique as early as possible. If the test is negative, they shall be exempted from Institutional Quarantine.
Such passengers shall be stamped and sent for Home Quarantine for 14 days from the date of arrival.
(a) Pregnant women.
(b) Children below the age of 10 years and below.
(c) Senior citizens 80 years and above.
(d) Terminally ill patients (For eg., Cancer, Chronic kidney disease and Stroke)
All the passengers belonging to the above category shall also be subjected to check-up by a medical team (Symptoms / Temperature/Oxygen saturation) to confirm the above.
