State Govt transfers Laxman Nimbargi as SP of Bellari Dist
Bengaluru: Laxman B Nimbargi a 2014-batch IPS officer, former SP of Udupi District recently assigned charge as SP of Wireless Bengaluru has been transferred as Superintendent Police of Ballari district on Monday, March 18.
In the month of February, Laxman B Nimbargi was posted as the SP of Wireless Bengaluru and had taken charge on the first week of March. When the notification of Laxman Nimbargi’s transfer from Udupi district hit the headlines in the media, Scores of people including police officers and religious leaders tried to stop his transfer.
After three weeks of taking charge as the SP wireless, Bangaluru again on Monday, March 18 the state government posted Nimbargi to Bellari as SP.
Nimbargi, a 2014-batch IPS officer, did his engineering degree (Electronics and Communications) at the BVB College of Engineering and Technology in Hubballi.
He worked as a probationary officer in Bantwal. He later served as the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chitradurga sub-division, before being transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police of Udupi district.
