Cape Town, Dec 29 (IANS) South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn’s availability for the second Test against England is in doubt because of a shoulder injury.
The right-arm pacer could not bowl on day four of the first Test against England because of a spasm in his right shoulder.
He had scans on Tuesday but they revealed no muscle tear. He will have to undergo a few more tests before the second Test from January 2, reported the BBC.
The world No.1 paceman missed majority of South Africa’s tour to India due to a groin injury.
On Tuesday after bowling a few overs, Steyn clutched his right arm and left the field. He seemed to be in a lot of discomfort.
He returned later and tried to bowl, but could not do it.
