Stones Pelted at Furniture Shop after Independent Candidate Wins in Kallapu
Ullal: As soon as the results were out in Ullal, pelting of stones was reported in Kallapu on September 3.
According to sources, on September 3, after the counting of the ULB polls and the results announced and the Congress candidate, Usman lost against independent candidate Mushtaq, stones were pelted at a furniture shop in Kallapu.
During the campaign, the Furniture shop owner was very active and had supported independent candidate Mushtaq. As soon as the results were out and Mushtaq won the ULB elections from Kallapu ward the furniture shop was targetted and some miscreants pelted stones at the shop.
The police have increased the security in Kallapu to avoid any untoward incidents from taking place. So far no case has been registered.
