Strict Action Against Rumour Mongers in Puttur Woman Missing Case – SP
Mangaluru: Rumours have been spread about the arrest of a man in connection with the missing case of a woman from Puttur.
On July 16, Rajesh from Puttur had filed a case in the Puttur Rural police station about the kidnap of his wife and two children. The Puttur Rural police registered a case under section 354, 363, 506 and 34 IPC. On July 16, Rajesh’s wife and children were found in Hassan. They were later brought to the Puttur police station where during questioning Rajesh’s wife revealed that she was staying in a rented house belonging to Anil K T in Nelyadi, while her husband was working as an operator for Anil K T.
Over the past six months, there was a misunderstanding between Rajesh and his wife and their marriage was in the rocks. Rajesh’s wife had gone to her parent’s house in Udupi and Rajesh too had gone to his parent’s house. On July 11, Rajesh’s wife went to drop her children to the hostel in Kudupadav, Vittal. When she had gone to the hostel, Anil K T came in a Bolero to the hostel in Kudupadav and asked her to stay with him. Anil also threatened Rajesh’s wife with life if she refused to go with him. Anil then forcibly took her to Hassan and Tamilnadu. Later he rented a room in Tannirhalla and called up Rajesh and told him to divorce his wife so that he could marry her.
Anil also revealed that he was in a relationship with Rajesh’s wife for many years and was willing to marry her. When six months ago Rajesh came to know about their affair, he started to stay away from his wife. Anil was also taking care of the daily expenses of Rajesh’s wife and children.
There are rumours that Rajesh’s wife was kidnapped for conversion which is far from the truth. The SP has clarified that investigations have revealed that Anil and Rajesh’s wife were in a relationship and there was no kidnapping nor any conversion. Those who spread false rumors will be severely dealt with, warned SP.
