‘Students should aim high, work tirelessly’- ACP Manjunath Shetty at INSPIRE Science Camp

 

Mangaluru: Students should have higher aims in their life and they should ready to work tirelessly to achieve that, said Assistant Commissioner of Police (traffic subdivision) M. Manjunath Shetty.

He was addressing the gathering as a special invitee during the valedictory of INSPIRE Science camp organised by the University College with the sponsorship of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India at Pilikula Science Centre here on Thursday. Honorary guest of the event Pilikula Regional Science Centre’s Director Prof. K.V. Rao stressed on the need of basic science for human life.

Presiding over the function, Principal Dr. Uday Kumar M.A handed over the complementary letter to Dr. Bharathi Prakash, HoD of Microbiology for successfully organising the event consecutively for three years.

On the occasion, Ojaswi of St. Aloysius College emerged as the ‘Best Involved Student’ of the science camp. Pradyumna of KVG College, Sullia, and Shramika of Capitanio College were respectively the ‘Best Inspired Male’ and ‘Best Inspired Female’ students.

Jayashree of SDM PU College and Varun of Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe College shared their opinion regarding the camp. Smt. Sumangala C.H compered the ceremony.

A millionaire boy from Milagres College Mangaluru, who developed software and won Rs 215 crore from Oracle, participated in the camp. The inspire team felicitated the millionaire boy Joswin D’Souza on the occasion. Aman and Nachiket, who won gold medal in science projects at national level and silver medal in international level, also took part in the event.
