STUNA 2025: Concludes at Roshni Nilaya
Mangalore: The valedictory ceremony of STUNA 2025, the National Level HR Conference, marked a successful culmination of two enriching days filled with knowledge-sharing, skill-based events, and insightful discussions centered around the theme “Transforming HR: Leading Through Change and Innovation.”
The gathering was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Mr. Shekhar Poojary, Past Chairman of NIPM – Mangalore Chapter. In his inspiring address, Mr. Poojary expressed his admiration for Roshni Nilaya, calling it a premier institution that consistently grooms individuals of high caliber. He emphasized the importance of negotiation and effective communication as key competencies for HR professionals. Drawing from his experience at the New Mangalore Port, he shared how resilience played a central role in his career journey. He appreciated the relevance of the conference theme and encouraged students to actively participate in such knowledge forums, highlighting the critical role of HR in fostering a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement within organizations.
Presiding over the function was Ms. Celia Farida Goveas, Controller of Examinations at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. In her address, she remarked, “Change begins with people, and people begin with HR,” underscoring the role of HR in creating an ecosystem that is inclusive, ethical, and growth-oriented. She congratulated the HR Forum for its proactive efforts in organizing a conference of such magnitude and relevance.
The Guests of Honour for the valedictory were Dr. Meena Monteiro, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, and Dr. Saritha D’Souza IQAC Coordinator. Their presence added immense value to the occasion as they lauded the efforts of the organizing committee and the participants.
A detailed report of STUNA 2025 was presented by Ms. Thejaswini, highlighting the range of events conducted, including expert sessions, panel discussions, and competitions that brought together participants from various institutions. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees, and the winners of the competitions were felicitated for their outstanding performances.
The winners of the Best Management Competitions were from the Department of MSc Counselling at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. The team, comprising Ifra Ayesha, Fathima Ahlaam, Sarah Nasir Sheikh G, and Adiba Mehak, showcased exceptional skills and teamwork throughout the event.
In the Quiz Competition, the top honors went to Swastika National Business School, with participants Muliya Satwik and Shreyas K demonstrating their knowledge and quick thinking to secure victory.
The runners-up in the Quiz Competition were from Canara College, Mangalore. The team, consisting of Srajan BS and Gagan Bekal, performed admirably, earning recognition for their impressive efforts in this challenging contest.
Participants came forward to share their feedback, expressing how the conference helped them gain deeper insights into the evolving role of HR in today’s dynamic business environment.
The ceremony concluded with a warm and gracious vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sebastin K.V., Faculty Coordinator, who acknowledged the contributions of dignitaries, resource persons, sponsors, organizing committee members, student volunteers, and participants for making STUNA 2025 a grand success.
