However, parking woes have been a common feature. The practice of haphazard parking has been creating a lot of headaches for the local administration, the police and the general public.

In order to bring about some system and discipline, deputy commissioner and district magistrate A B Ibrahim has issued an order imposing some restrictions and regulations on parking here. The order comes into immediate effect.

Three-wheelers should be parked by the side of the Subrahmanya-Sullia road, starting from the STD booth next to the temple toilet up to the Devaragadde bypass leaving three-foot gaps.

Two-wheelers can be parked on the margin of the road from Skanda Kripa lodge up to Akshaya Bazar. Only one vehicle at a time will be allowed to park for a while near Skanda Kripa for the purpose of unloading.

Spots where total prohibition of parking will be in force:

From temple gopuram to Indian Overseas Bank premises
From the bank through the front portions of Kumara Kripa, Kartikeya building up to the exit point of the KSRTC bus stand
All around the panchayat commercial complex and Devaragadde
The sides of the bypass from the forest office to up to Rudrapada bridge
Sides of the roads leading to Kashikatte, Noojila and Adi Subrahmanya
Sides of the road from the gopuram up to Anugraha building

Only vehicles belonging to Shri Samputa Narasimha Math will be allowed move along Kashikatte Adi Subrahmanya Devaragadde road, says the order.
