Subrahmanya: Krishnakumari K N (47), serving as a lecturer in History at the PU College here, died of a heart attack in the college on Friday morning.
She had just arrived in the college around 9-15 am. Soon she complained of fatigue and chest pain. Her colleagues tended her and made arrangements to shift her to a hospital. But she is said to have died on the way.
She had earlier served as a teacher in the high school section of the same college. She proved her worth and secured a promotion as a lecturer in the PU section. She was an active member of the Jaycees and took keen interest in stage-related activities, Yakshagana, dance and the like. Being a Scouts and Guides teacher, she had secured the Himalaya Wood Badge.
