Following the introduction of chief guest by Ms Riona Fernandes, the chief guest Dikshith Rai addressing the audience said, “I am totally overwhelmed and proud to be present here as a chief guest being a alumnus of this prestigious institution, which has formed what I am now. My sincere gratitude to Fr Denzil Lobo Sj who was my mentor during my college days at AIMIT, and who also trained me in basket ball game. To mention about the success of my firm, it was because we did something right, we delivered in time, and always aimed for customer satisfaction, which proved 100% results. And my team of employees played an vital role in the growth of the company. Remember that everyone gets opportunities in life, and therefore you need to grab them when they are available, work on them and dream to make them come true”
“Don’t think too much as to what you want to do, instead grab what comes your way, and make that opportunity happen and materialize. Remember that success starts when discipline becomes a habit, therefore follow the steps of discipline and work hard to become successful in life. To make my company reach greater heights I have gone through sleepless nights, worked hard with determination and commitment, and thus I succeeded in my venture. Always focus on one core subject, work on it and see that it materializes. When your core is strong, everything else doesn’t matter. As a student of AIMIT, I too was part of Epitome and we toiled hard to come up with unique events to make the Fest unique and worthwhile. Wish you all success in this Fest” added Rai.
Director of AIMIT Fr Denzil Lobo SJ addressing the audience said, “Follow the words what our chief guest said-“Success starts when discipline becomes a habit” Remember that discipline is very important in life. love the work you are doing. Be a lifelong learner, because real learning starts after graduation. Going to college and obtaining a degree won’t help much, instead thorough continuous knowledge and practicals will make you smart, and help you in your future career. Always think right, and it will work. Live a simple and crucial life, because success will be yours, just like the big CEO and leaders who led that kind of life. Also be passionate in what you are doing, and what you want to do. Also think about others, and that’s the motto of the Jesuits and St Aloysius Institutions. Have great fun at the Epitome, and in the same time concentrate on your studies”.
In his presidential address Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ said, ” When we have our own alumnus of AIMIT/St Aloysius Institutions as chief guest, we don’t need Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg or others- Our own Dikshith Rai is a role model to all of us, as to how we can attain success in life in the right way. My compliments to Fr Denzil for taking AIMIT to greater heights with innovative and unique projects. We need to be happy in what we are doing and what we want to do. Follow the four Sutras- 1) Love what you want to do; 2) Discover what you are good at; 3) Try to find what the world needs from you; and 4) Look what you’ll be paid for. Fests are opportunities for students to unleash their talents, expose it to others, so that others can see and enjoy. Also three things you need to concentrate are Three Works- they are Hard Work, Smart Work, and Net Work. Quoting Leo Tolstoy who said “The two most powerful warriors are Patience and Time”- and being such warriors you will surely become successful”
