Successful Blood Donation Drive Organized by Konkoan Yuha in Collaboration with SMMC and YAM Dubai

Dubai: On March 19, 2025, Konkan Yuva, in partnership with St. Mary’s Mangalorean Community (SMMC) and Young Adults Ministry (YAM) Dubai, hosted a highly successful blood donation drive at the Dubai Health Center, Jaddaf. The event, which began at 7:00 PM, saw an overwhelming turnout of volunteers and donors united by a noble cause.

A total of 85 participants, volunteers, and well-wishers joined the initiative, with 70 donors successfully contributing blood. Under the supervision of medical professionals, the drive aimed to support the UAE’s blood bank reserves and raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation.

As part of its mission to create a “home away from home” for Konkani youth in the UAE, Konkan Yuva has consistently organized events that foster unity and celebration within the community. This blood donation campaign is one of many events hosted by Konkan Yuva, particularly during Ramadan and Lent, demonstrating their commitment to community welfare.

Key representatives, including Mr. Denzil Moras (President of Konkan Yuva), Mr. Joseph Mathias (SMMC Coordinator), and Ms. Rachael Joseph (YAM Coordinator), expressed gratitude to all donors and volunteers. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to donors, emphasizing the vital message: “Be the Reason Someone Smiles – Donate Blood!”

This initiative is part of Konkan Yuva’s ongoing efforts to engage the community in meaningful social causes. The drive’s success encourages future endeavors, inspiring continued community involvement and support.
