Sullia Police arrest Undertrial Prisoner Escaped from Mangaluru Prison
Mangaluru: An undertrial prisoner, accused in an attempt to rape and theft case who had managed to escape from the Mangaluru Central prison on March 10, was arrested by the Sullia police from Devachalya, Kandrappadi here on March 14.
Jinnappa Parava (37), from Gardadi Beltangady, was booked under Pocso and robbery case in 2015. He was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
In the early hours of March 10, Jinnappa Parava managed to escape from the Mangaluru prison.
On getting information about his whereabouts, Sullia police under the able leadership of Police inspector Satish arrested Jinnappa from Kundrapadi. The operation was carried out by the Sullia sub-inspector Chandrashekhar and team.
Jinnappa will be handed over to the Barke police for further investigations.
