Suo Moto Case filed After Video of Group Assaulting Man Goes Viral
Mangaluru: Police have registered a Suo Moto case on May 13, against a group assaulting Lokesh Poojary at Barke police station on May 12.
The video of the group thrashing a man which went viral on May 12. According to the law, if any person commits any crime, it should be reported to the police but the group assaulted the man saying that he is involved in Homosexual practices.
Lokesh Poojary was assaulted by a group and his hair was cut off with a sickle. Lokesh was assaulted by the group in Barke police station limits on May 12.

After the video went viral the police commissioner Sandeep Patil has taken the matter seriously. By filing a Suo Moto case, the top cop has sent a message to the society that nobody has the right to take the law into their hands. Whoever commits a crime will be punished. Justice will be done to everyone. The Police commissioner is committed to maintaining law and order in the Mangaluru Commissionerate.
