Superhit Nights Ki Superhit Jodi Salim and Sulaiman Rock Kudla
Mangaluru: The City of Mangaluru haven’t seen anything like this before- until this evening when the mega stage set up at Nehru Maidan exploded with rocking Bollywood hits belted out by Music duo-Salim and Sulaiman as part of their “Imperial Blue Superhit Nights Season 3′, which culminated today in Mangaluru. It was a gorgeous Friday evening that thousands of fans of these two Bollywood singers got a chance to hear their favorite singers- they all got enticed with the buoyant voices of both brothers. The crowd tapped their feet, swayed their hands to some cheesy Bollywood tunes from the duo, who rocked the stage from 8 pm onwards. It was time to spread the message of love, peace, and unity through the most powerful medium – music. And Salim and Sulaiman with their romantic voices stole the show, singing their biggest hits!
The two brothers performed live to a lively and cheering crowd, and their soul-stirring voice rocked the venue with all their latest hit numbers from Bollywood movies and their own compositions. Salim and Sulaiman don’t need any type of introduction. Their real introduction is the purity of their voice which you can feel every time. Whether its a dancing number or a romantic number, they simply touch the hearts of their fans- and it happened also in Mangaluru.
Omg.. how can fans miss the most versatile and sought after Bollywood singers with all their quality came to the city and conquered the hearts of their fans, and stole the show also with their romantic and mesmerizing songs. Before the show began, a fan speaking to Team Mangalorean said, ‘’These two brothers have unique talents of catering to the people of all generations. They can sing both youthful as well as other songs with equal ease. I have come all the ay from Kundapur to catch them live, and this will be my most memorable concert of all times’’. While yet another fan, Smitha said ‘I am very excited for the show to start as Salim and Sulaiman are my favourite singers. Their songs are mesmerizing and make us feel connected to the divine world. I bet this concert will remain in the hearts of each and all of his fans and other music lovers”. I bet it will!
As the band members took the stage, the guitars chugged, the synth whistled, the drums got rolling and the dholak rose to engulf the sounds of the huge crowd in thousands then the duo along with their band members got into their act. Unabashedly populist and passionately Desi, the duo with their high voltage live and electrifying performance, adrenalin fuelled vocals, pulsating rhythm, refreshing melody enthralled and rocked the crowd, who called for encores after each song. Devotional music has been in India since ages. Bhajan, Kirtan, Naat Sharif, Hymns… All these give the music a cosmic feeling and whenever we blend the devotional feeling with a commercial song, it becomes immortal. That’s why Indian audience loves devotional, Sufi songs so much, that both the Merchant brothers gave a couple of devotional songs.
The music duo accompanied by their troupe of talented musicians performed songs like ‘O Re Piya, Haule Haule, Aye Khuda, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Shukran Allah and many others. They even dedicated a song to the hot lasses in the crowd, and also rendered a dedication song for all the Jawans who risk their lives to guard our borders, so that we are all safe from intruders from the neighbouring countries. Today’s event showcased the best and the brightest talents from the entertainment industry. Expressing his excitement while performing on stage tonight, Salim Merchant, said, ‘It is always wonderful and motivating for us artistes to connect directly with our fans at a local level. The duo hit all the right chords with their fans, the celebrated artistes set the feet of the audience tapping and they all swayed to their songs at the grand show till the end. The music duo enthralled the music lovers of Mangaluru wrapping them in its charm and dazzling the stage with a rocking concert.
