Suresh Ballal Takes Charge as MUDA Chairman
Mangaluru: Suresh Ballal has officially taken charge as the chairman of MUDA at the MUDA office, Urwa here on December 5.
Newly appointed chairman was brought in a procession from his residence at Lalbagh by the party workers to the MUDA office.
After taking charge Suresh Ballal said, “I am surprised for being appointed as the chairman of MUDA since I never expected it. But the ministers and the MLAs believed in my work and have appointed me as the chairman. I will complete all the pending development work in the city.”
He further said, “The previous chairman had undertaken projects in Chelyar Padav and Derlakatte which are pending. We will acquire the land in Chelyar Padav and Derlakatte and start the work in two months. Recently we have laid the foundation stone for Urwa Market. The Kadri park the Musical fountain will be inaugurated in January. MLA Lobo has taken a special interest in completing the project. I was an aspirant for the state-level board. I have also been the chairman of MUDA twice, but the MLAs and ministers wanted me to serve the people of DK and appointed me as the chairman. I will perform my duties with integrity.”
Suresh Ballal also said, “My intention is to beautify the city by planting saplings on the medians. After Bengaluru, Mangaluru is a beautiful city and has been selected in the list of Smart cities. MLA Lobo has held talks with Industries and IT companies in Bengaluru and invited them to set up their business in Mangaluru. There is a proposal to construct a Multi-storey vehicle parking.
