SVEEP Committee Holds Human Chain to Bring Awareness among Students on Voting

Mangaluru: To bring awareness among the students about their voting rights and the forthcoming elections, the SVEEP Committee in association with APD organized a Human Chain in front of MCC here on April 6.

Students and the Government officials including ZP CEO, MCC Commissioner gathered in front of MCC.

MCC Engineer Madhu administered the oath to the students as well as the participants. ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi released the badges “Every Vote Counts” on the occasion.

Speaking to mangalorean.com Dr M R Ravi said, “Today we have organized a human chain to bring awareness among the students about voting. It’s a special programme for the students as well as the MCC employees. More than 500 students participated in the programme”.

Dr Ravi further said, “The aim of the human chain is to attract youngsters to cast their votes. Since most the students are voting for the first time. They are very much interested to cast their votes. They should cast their vote for the right candidate by going to the voting booth on May 12. All the people of Dakshina Kannada should go to the polling booth on May 12 and cast their valuable votes without fail.”

MCC Commissioner Mohammed Nazir, Information officer Khader Shah and others were also present.
