Swachh Bharath Abuse! Rajasthan Minister Peeing on Roadside Goes Viral

Seems like a “We Don’t Practice What We Preach” or “Who Cares?”-kind of attitude of some of our netas, who break laws or abuse awareness campaigns. Here is a story of a Rajasthan State minister, and that too, a health minister whose act of ignorance has gone viral and brought shame to the State, but not him, since the minister has openly said that “it is not a big issue.”. I guess this minister strictly follows on a saying -“When You Gotta Go You Gotta Go”?

Sources reveal that a day after a picture of Rajasthan Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf answering the call of nature on a roadside went viral, media was anxiously waiting for him at the gate of the assembly on Wednesday morning. In an embarrassment for the BJP government in Rajasthan, the minister urinating on the walls of the Pink City going viral, but however the minister has shrugged it off, saying it was “not a big issue”.

His picture was the topic of gossip among ministers and MLAs who were seen smiling and avoiding questions on this topic. The media sought comments from every minister and MLA at the assembly. Till the start of the house at 11 am, the minister was not seen. He entered after the Question Hour had started. Almost everybody avoided saying anything on record on this sensitive issue. However, newly elected Ajmer MP Dr Raghu Sharma said Saraf should seek an apology.

The picture comes as the Jaipur Municipal Corporation is working hard to bring the city on the top charts under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. According to rules, those urinating on roads are asked to cough up fine of Rs. 200. As media reached his office to seek his response, he declined to comment, saying he doesn’t want to talk on this topic as it is not a big issue.

In her response, Congress’ Rajasthan unit Vice President Archana Sharma telling media had said that at a time when so much money is being spent on Swachh Bharat, such leaders are giving a wrong message by doing such “shameful” deeds. This should not have happened by the minister in his own constituency, she added. Sharma also said that during Dholpur by-polls when they were going there together, Saraf did the same act – urinating publicly – on the way but however she failed to click a photo of them there because of “poll stress at that time”.

Seems like this minister can’t control his bladder, as there is a saying”When You Gotta Go You Gotta Go”-meaning you got to go the toilet or make a nature’s call, no matter where you are and when?
