T Venkatesh Naik takes charge as Udupi district Judge
Udupi: T Venkatesh Naik assumed office as the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Udupi district here on Friday, December 12. Earlier, he had worked as Additional District and Sessions Judge in Belagavi district.
T Venkatesh Naik replaces Shivashaker Amarannanavar who has been transferred to Bengaluru.
In a formal function organised by the BAR Association at the Court premises, T Venkatesh Naik was honoured and welcomed as the new Judge. The present and former officer bearers welcomed the new judge with a bouquet.
Former president of Bar Council Mattar Rathnakar Hegde introduced the new judge to the gathering and urged him to focus on quality judgments and live up to the expectations of people.
Venkatesh Naik expressed his gratitude to the Bar Council for organising the welcome function and promised that he will keep up the faith reposed in him and also asked the support of the advocates to work honestly in the district.
T Venkatesh Naik hails from Chitradurga district. Earlier he had served in Sindhanooru, Bengaluru and Belagavi.
Bar Council president Dayanand welcomed the gathering, Ronald Praveen Kumar Secretary delivered the vote of thanks. Advocate Yashaswini compered the programme.
