Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain performs at Sri Krishna Math
Udupi: Tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain visited Sri Krishna Temple, here on Wednesday, December 6.
After arriving in Udupi, Zakir Hussain visited the Sri Krishna Temple and had a ‘darshan’ of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana and also received the blessings of Paryaya Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.
Later Zakir Hussain gave a tabla performance titled Nadalayamruta at Rajangana.
Zakir Hussain has been striving to popularise classical music, especially tabla, around the world.
He has also given music to Bollywood and Hollywood films. He has been a visiting professor at several universities.
