Tableau Depicting Swamiji Offering Puja to Missiles Marks CFI Students Convention
Mangaluru: The Campus Front of India (CFI) organized a Students convention at the Town Hall here on February 14.
Prior to the convention, a rally was held from the Jyothi Circle which culminated at the Town Hall premises.
Various tableaux displaying missiles, Trishul, Swamiji etc accompanied the rally. The programme was inaugurated by the National president of CFI Prof P Koya.
Speaking on the occasion, Dalit leader and social activist Jignesh Mevani said, “There is an internal threat to our country from the Sangh Parivar. To protect our constitution we need to start a new organisation called Samvidana Suraksha Samiti (SSS). To protect our constitution, the Modi agenda and to fight against Hindutva we will start a new organisation called SSS,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, the national general secretary T Abdul Naser said, “Justice is the basic right of humans. When protection of human rights are lacking, we the students should get down to the streets and provide justice to those mothers who have lost their children due to atrocities. Radhika Vemula and Nafeesa at are fighting for justice and it is our duty to join hands with them. Students are the future of the country and they should fight for justice. If anyone raises their voice against the system, they will be tagged as traitors. If anyone fights against fascism they will be killed, Govinda Pansare, Dabolkar, and Dr M M Kalaburgi are a few examples.”
He further said, “If the media will highlight such issues they will be blacklisted. Some MPs are openly discussing of changing the constitution and there is a need to fight against casteism and communalism”.
T Abdul Naser welcomed the gathering. National president of CFI Suhaib P V presided over the function. Jignesh Mevani, Dr C S Dwaraknath, Yogesh Master, Sunkanna Velbula and others were also present.
