Taking Government Schemes to the People – Minister Rai flags off ‘Janapara -Janapriya’
Mangaluru: To bring awareness among the people about the recent state budget, the information and public relations department organized a publicity campaign, “Janapara -Janapriya”, which was flagged off at the Circuit house here on March 30.
The campaign was flagged off by the district minister in-charge B Ramanath Rai along with other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering Ramanath Rai said, “The state government has taken measures to solve the water scarcity in the district by releasing Rs 100 crore for the long pending project of the district the “Paschima Vahini”. The other long pending demands such as the formation of new Taluks, the extension of the runway at the Airport and the fishing Jetty were also addressed. The people of the state are benefiting from these schemes. To create awareness among the people about the budget and the schemes for the general public, the publicity campaign was inaugurated. This campaign will help the general public to know more about the government schemes”.
The MLA of Mangaluru North Constituency Moideen Bava speaking on the occasion said, “In the budget, importance has been given to providing basic facilities in the district. The road approaching the airport will be developed. The runway at the Mangaluru international airport will be extended. A special board, “Ambigara Chowdayya development Board”, has been formed for the Mogaveer community and funds have also been released to construct the Haj Bhavan”.
Information officer Khader Shah said, “The publicity campaign, “Janapara -Janapriya”, will tour the district for 20 days to create awareness among the general public.”
