Talapady Border Opens for Emergency Patients from Kasargod – DC
Mangaluru: The Kerala – Karnataka border at Talapady has opened after the supreme court ordered to open the border.
On April 7, Deputy Commissioner Sindu Roopesh held an emergency COVID-19 prevention meeting with the IMA members. During the meeting, it was decided to provide medical treatment to a certain category of patients coming from Kasargod after they were confirmed of not being affected by COVID-19, by the Government Hospital doctor in Kasargod.
The Ambulance carrying the patient from Kasargod should also be sanitized according to the directions of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry. Only one assistant, Ambulance Driver, and one Paramedic will be allowed to accompany the patient.
A team of Doctors has been appointed at the Talapady border to check the documents as per the checklist of every ambulance coming from Kasargod before allowing it to enter the district.
Deputy commissioner Sindhu Roopesh has sent the guidelines along with the checklist to Kasargod.
