Taron Egerton’s ‘Robin Hood’ release date pushed back
Los Angeles, Feb 27 (IANS) Release date of actor Taron Egerton’s “Robin Hood” has been pushed by two months from September 21.
Entertainment corporation, Lionsgate has pushed the release date for a second time after the officials of the company has set September 14 as the intial date and later changed it to September 21, reports variety.com.
Egerton is starring in the Robin Hood origin story along with Jamie Foxx as Little John and Eve Hewson as Maid Marian.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan will portray Will Scarlett, the half-brother of Robin Hood.
Otto Bathurst is directing “Robin Hood” from Joby Harold’s script.
The project is co-produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Basil Iwanyk, Tory Tunnell, and Harold.
The story will center on Robin Hood being a war-hardened crusader and joining with a Moorish commander in an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown.
