Temples, Mosques, Churches to Open from June 8 – Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary
Udupi: As per the union government guidelines religious places of worships have been allowed to reopen from June 8 in Karnataka state said minister for Muzrai and DK district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Speaking to media persons in Udupi on Sunday, May 31, Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “On the demand of several devotees earlier we had decided to reopen the Temples to offer prayers from June 1. On Saturday, May 30, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) declared that the religious places of worship for the public are allowed to reopen from June 8. The state government will also follow the same rules.”
Further, Kota Srinivas said that the Temples would be reopened keeping in mind cleanliness where soap and water or sanitizers and also social distancing would be compulsory. Temple fairs and events will not be allowed inside the premises.
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines, Mosques and Churches too will be opened for public from June 8 along with the Temples. “Once we decide to open Temples, Churches and Mosques should also open,” said Minister Kota Srinivas.
