Temples to Open from June 1, Yet to Decide on Churches and Mosques
Bengaluru: After the COVID-19 pandemic, the government announced the lockdown in the country. After 63 days of lockdown, the state government has now announced to open the Temples for devotees from June 1.
The Muzrai minister and DK district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary met Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on May 26. Kota Srinivas Poojary and the Revenue minister R Ashok held a meeting with the CM regarding opening the Temples for devotees. In the meeting, it was decided to open the Temples from June 1.
After the meeting speaking to the mediapersons Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “During the meeting with the Chief Minister, we have decided to open the Temples for the devotees from June 1. The Temples that come under the Muzrai department can perform Pujas, but social distancing is a must. So far, the government has not taken any decision on opening the Churches and Mosques for prayers”.
Kota Srinivas further said, “Devotees can come to the Temples but holding religious meetings, or Utsvas is not allowed. From May 27, 52 selected Temples will start online bookings. Mysuru Chamundeshwari Temple, Kukke Subramanya Temple, Kollur Mookambika Temple, Dharmastala Temple etc. will be open from June 1”.
Dear CM n Mr. Kota Srinivas, even churches and Mosques are places of worship. And also that we are Indians and citizens of India by birth n right.
So when you open Temples, you should open churches n mosques too.
Stop playing politics with religion. I’m surprised that you have still not learnt your lessons with whatever has been happening.

Eulalia Dsouza: Temples come under Muzrai department, hence the govt is providing the permission to open it. Churches and Mosques does not come under Muzrai department. Read the news carefully before commeting.
