The FIRST ever ‘World Brokers Day’ in Mluru hosted by Ecologic Habitats/Transit One

The FIRST ever ‘World Brokers Day’ in Mangaluru hosted by Ecologic Habitats/Transit One at Hermit Crab beach resort in Someshwar, where a bevy of Realtors and Brokers interacted with each other on this unique FIRST of its kind event

Mangaluru: As they say “Better Late Than Never”, even though the “World Brokers Day” is celebrated on 9th June, Ecologic Habitats/Transit One-Mangaluru hosted “World Brokers Day” for the FIRST time in Mangaluru at Hermit Crab Beach Resort-Someshwar on 23 June 2018, where a bevy of Brokers and Realtors gathered and interacted with each other. This FIRST of its kind event has now become a landmark event in the Mangaluru real estate space and proved to be the toast of the season. The Organizers aim was to help the brokers by transforming their role from just providing keys to providing homes for those looking for one. Their goal was to empower this community to global levels, and thus pave a way for their future.

The idea of World Brokers Day is not an end in itself; rather it’s a start of a process. The process of transformation of a broker to a world-class consultant. This is, of course, a gradual process but the start has been made here by Ecologic Habitats and Transit One as they celebrated ‘World Realtors’ Day’. Speaking on the occasion, P S Mohammed-Managing Director of Ecologic Habitats said, “I am overwhelmed at the response received for this first of its kind World Brokers Day in Mangaluru. I wanted to see the enthusiasm among Realtors/brokers, so I planned on organizing this Day and will host it every year in future. It was because of the brokers that I have reached to this level, and I extend my sincere gratitude to them. On this day I would also like to felicitate the Realtors. Until now Mangaluru wasn’t aware of World Brokers Day, and now that we have introduced it for the first time, I want to make sure that this celebration is taken forward and celebrated in a bigger way in the future years.”

Roger Pinto, President of Mangalore Association of Realtors speaking on the occasion said, “This is an excellent initiative taken by PS Mohammed by hosting this event, thereby giving an opportunity for Realtors/Brokers to meet and interact with each other. The task of a realtor is not an easy one these days, as the realty market is getting much complicated. Therefore, Realtors have a responsibility as people look up to the real estate professionals for good properties. Even the buyer or seller need Realtors these days, so day by day the market is becoming more professional. We need to improve our skills. With real estate becoming more professional, we need to be disciplined and responsible Realtors”

“We need to have knowledge about the property. We need to visit the property before selling it to the client so that we know the positive and negative of the land and get an idea about how to move forward. The whole world has become digital. There is a lot of competition, we need to improve ourselves and have a regular interaction meet so that all the Realtors can share their experiences with each other, which will help us grow. One thing to remember is properties are not cheap. Every property in Mangaluru is Rs 50 lac-plus, and buyers are not fools. One property cannot be sold for 10 different prices, and end of the day they prefer brokers who they trust and who do not think of buyers as fools. You can never get away with cheating or overpricing, and when you do that, it will be the last time they will have a deal with us. Realtors should start thinking out-of-the-box and constantly improve” added Roger.

Yet another Realtor from Mangaluru, Pramod Pinto-the Vice President of Mangalore Association of Realtors said, “My sincere thanks on behalf of the Realtors and brokers to PS Mohammed for hosting this unique Day, to mark World Brokers Day, along with Realtors. These days It has become a hectic task for Realtors to sell properties like apartments, commercial complexes, resorts, flats etc. In any corporate company, the CEO, manager and executives etc or their salaries change as time passes, and it happens because they educate themselves, build good relations with others, improve their leadership qualities which makes them move on to the next level in career. Realtors help in providing guidance and assisting sellers and buyers in marketing and purchasing property for the right price under the best terms; Determining clients’ needs and financials abilities to propose solutions that suit them, and Performing comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value. Therefore, Real estate is harder, we should work as a team, maintain quality in handling, and study the different avenues that can help us achieve success.”

Everyone had a jolly good time at this event organized at a cozy and scenic location very close to the Someshwar Beach. In the lucky draw held during the event, Realtor Abdul Munnar won the prize. Prathik Shetty compered the programme.
