The Venetian Macao – the Largest Casino in Asia

The opulence, glitz and glamour of the casino and casino life has led to some spectacular builds over the years and Asia can boast the largest of them all – The Venetian Macao.

Situated at Estrada da Baia de Nossa Senhora da Esperanca, Macau, the Venetian Macao is actually a sister resort to the Venetian that can be visited in Las Vegas.

An Overview

This wonderful hotel and resort boasts many titles and one being that is the seventh largest building in the world (measured by its floor area) it is also the largest casino in the world as well as being the largest single structure hotel building in the whole of Asia – all impressive attributes singly but when grouped together even more impressive.

The Venetian Macao is just as wonderful as its sister in Las Vegas – it’s just bigger – a lot bigger!

Take the casino floor as an example. The Venetian in Las Vegas has a square footage of 120,000 whilst the one in Macao has a square footage of 550,000 – and as you would guess by its size the Venetian Macao offers a great many attractions to those who visit.

A Brief History

The Venetian Macao was opened to the general public a full eight years after the Venetian Las Vegas on August the 28th in 2007 and even though it is the largest casino in the world and would be expected to cost a lot of money to build – the final cost was $2.4 billion – a lot of money for sure, but not as much as some smaller casino resorts like the Marina Bay Sands Resort which cost twice the amount to put together.

The Venetian Macao proved to be an instant success welcoming its 8th millionth customer only 133 days after opening – an amazing feat.

About the Casino

As was mentioned the gaming floor at The Venetian Macao measures a massive 550,000 square feet which means its houses just about everything you can think of to do with having a bet or wager.

There are eight hundred gambling tables on offer as well as over 3,400 slot machines. The Venetian Macao also boasts a 15,000-seat arena for different sporting events and there is also an exclusive gaming area which is called the Paiza Club that caters for the High-Rollers and VIP’s.

Divided into four main, themed areas called the Golden Fish, Phoenix, Imperial House and Red Dragon there is sure to be something to suit everyone’s taste when it comes to gambling.

Table games include all the favourites like blackjack, craps, baccarat, three card poker, roulette, sic bo, fan tan, money wheel, Sands stud poker to name just a few. Slots lovers can enjoy video slots or classic reels, as well as many progressive games on offer.

Dreams are Made of This

Understandably not all of us are going to be able to visit such a casino but we can certainly enjoy all the fun, entertainment and action of casino life and now we can play and pay by phone slots whenever and wherever we happen to be thanks to the advancement of technology over the last couple of decades.

Not only can we play from many locations 24/7 we can now use our phones to fund our accounts and have the cost of our games either added onto our monthly bill or deducted from our pay-as-you-go balance which means that there are no banking details given to the online casino which adds another security level – an important factor in today’s society where identity fraud is such a concern.
